It is with great pleasure that RAF SIMONS announces ITALIAN PRODUCED FORMAL WEAR as a new addition to the collection, to comply with customers requests regarding quality, finish and cut.
This diversification includes a range of fully canvassed suits, a tuxedo, a hand made suit, coats, dress shirts, hand made silk ties, shoes and accessories, all with the unmistakable quality and expertise of Italian production.
The fabrics, selected from the best producers, are natural fibres of the foremost quality such as English wool cashmere twill, Italian virgin wool with cashmere and a Japanese chemical compact spin gabardine for the suits, 100% cashmere and a two toned double-faced wool for the coats, amongst others.
The traditional man’s wardrobe is incorporated in the label’s aesthetic and will be integrated in the upcoming Autumn-Winter 09-10 men’s fashion show in Paris.
This part of the collection is produced in a standard commercial fit for men to meet with customer’s needs.
For Raf personally this new development is very significant as he started out his career with a desire to bring hand made tailoring to a young audience.
It was one of the key motivations. The first ever RAF SIMONS collection, only seen by just a few as it was not showed, was completely made by hand.
Since both label and customers have grown together over the years, the time is right for this commercial substantiated expansion of the collection.
